Rogac - Island of Solta

Rogac is the main port on the island of Solta; it is situated on its northern coast. It is connected daily with Split by ferryboat and catamaran services, and with the other places on the island it is connected by local communication through Grohote.
The coast in the vicinity of the port is divided by bays (Banje, Kasjun, Zustova and so on).
There is a castle in the port dating from the 17th century with loop-holes. The Saint Theresa church has an altar painting with the portrait of the donator from 1749. In the bay Banje, the remains of the Roman baths and walls can be found.
The Banje bay beach in Rogac is graveled. A large number of people choose to go for a swim or to sun bathe on the numerous coastal rocks which are suitable for bathing. Rogac is a perfect choice for those guests desiring a peaceful and quiet holiday.
